A break in the clouds
Marsden Bay
A very grey day with heavy clouds here in South Shields, the winds are picking up driving in from the east threatening hail or snow showers overnight. At Marsden Bay the winds whip up the seas pounding at what is left of the beach at high tide, a rare stream of sunlight falls upon Marsden Grotto, the world famous pub built into the caves formed by “Blaster Jack” in the late 1700’s for smugglers.
Camera details; Pentax K100D, 28mm lens, 1/4 second, f22, iso 200.
A Lovely photo and cool snow falling through it–nice effect! Love it. The photo would be cool without it, but the snow is reallly fun.
Happy New year to you and yours!

Nice…I like this shot very much. Pretty, pretty. The water is always lovely to me anyway but the sun peeking through adds a very nice touch.
