Saturday Sanddancer Scene #23
Our favourite foods
Hi, and welcome back to the feature where members of Curly’s Corner Shop Message Board submit their pictures for inclusion here, this is the busiest open forum on Tyneside for Sanddancers and ex pats with over 20400 posts!
Today’s picture was selected from a challenge that I set them to photograph their favourite foods, and this is a lobster caught off the coast in South Shields by one of the board members and donated to another who prepared and cooked it. So many thanks to retired mariner and South Shields’ man “Jeff” who submitted these four pictures. The lobster was caught in a pot off Camel’s Island in Marsden Bay and was in Jeff’s pot on the stove within 15 minutes having been rush delivered to his door by bicycle!
Jeff’s wife boiled the lobster for 12 minutes before removing the claw meat and halving the tail. She also prepared a seafood sauce using mayonnaise, tomato purée and Tabasco sauce , before serving up with a wedge of lemon and a chilled white wine as a starter course, and it looks just delicious.
Jeff shot these pictures with his Nikon D40, 1/60 second, at f3.5, with the lens at 28mm.
