Saturday Sanddancer Scene #22
Kangaroo and baby
The latest in my challenges issued to the those amateur photographers who read and join in with the posts on Curly’s Corner Shop Message Board, the busiest international community forum on Tyneside with over 203,000 posts. In this latest challenge members were asked to submit their favourite animal pictures and this is the one that I chose from the latest batch of entries.
My thanks go to Richard Robinson (aka “Freon”) from Australia who submitted this fine picture of a “Roo” with her “Joey”, demonstrating to us in the northern hemisphere that winter is ending, spring is here at last, and new life is making itself seen all around us.
Richard told me:
This photo was taken with a simple 8 megapixel Olympus FE340 camera and was taken on a fishing trip to the South Alligator river during March 2009. The South Alligator river is a tidal river about 200 kilometres South East of Darwin in the Northern Territory Australia.
Thanks for submitting this fine picture Richard, we look forward to perhaps seeing more of your work in the future.
