Driven snow

This is the picture that I have chosen from those submitted by the members of Curly’s Corner Shop Message Board, I had given them a theme as a challenge, and the theme was “Driven”.

Taken by Alex Carrington in New Hartley, Northumberland it shows the purely driven new snow that we experienced today, and in the last few weeks, covering his neighbourhood, Alex said:

I was actually quite pleased to see the snow, it made a change to see it a little deeper and thicker than normal. Mainly
happy for the grandkids who I was dying to see playing in it.

But really, just an excuse for me to play in it as well. ( 54 and getting dafter )

Like my sister said to me on my birthday… growing old is mandatory….growing up is optional.

Working from home it didn’t effect my day one little bit.

I just had to get that perfect undisturbed snow shot of car.  There’s something about virgin snow, do you not think ?

My best experience of it, was as a teenager on the Leas one night………, big fat flakes, slow and thick….. not one footstep in sight.

Yes, we all love the way that the snow alters the landscape, thanks for the picture Alex;  and I’ll be out and about capturing more pictures of snowy Shields today.

To keep up to date with my regular postings see my new site South Shields Daily Pictures.
