2009 Great North Run South Shields

2009 Great North Run

The great mass of competitors in the Great North Run making that final effort towards the finish line in South Shields, watched by friends, family, or even fans hoping for a glimpse of their athlete and urging them on to reach the line. Millions of pounds are raised every year for needy charities by the thousands of runners in the BUPA Great North Run, so failure is not an option for them.

  1. Charitable 5K and 10K runs are big here, too! A fun and great way to raise some money to help others! Bravo!
