Marsden Bay, South Shields

Flora and fauna

Marsden Bay in South Shields is composed of huge limestone cliffs and a pebbly beach and if one keeps a good eye open on the cliff face you will find a whole new world growing there (in much smaller proportions). There are a variety of wild flowers and plants clinging to existence on the salt sprayed cliff faces and competing for space with the thousands of gulls nests.
