South Marine Park, South Shields

South Marine Park, South Shields

This series of pictures are chosen from submissions made by members of the Curly’s Corner Shop Message Board, the busiest forum around the world for South Shields Sanddancers with almost 180000 posts on the board!

Today we see a view of the South Marine Park in South Shields showing the renewed terrace complete with it’s Victorian styled lighting and the restored Victorian band stand which replicates the original down to the tiniest details, more importantly it gets used! In the background the River Tyne passes Tynemouth on its way to the North Sea.

The picture was submitted by Margy Houlsby of South Shields who visits the park regularly.

Thanks Margy!

Camera details: Kodak Easyshare C913, 70mm lens, 1/320 second, f3.8, iso 64
