The Butcher’s Great North Dog Walk was held in South Shields yesterday, and it’s billed on their website as the largest dog walk ever held in the world, and it is claimed to hold 13 world records. Last year 12,339 dogs took part , representing by 162 breeds.

The 3.5 mile walk takes place on The Leas, the lush grassed are on the cliff tops owned by the National Trust and there are plenty of spots for the dogs to take a drink, such as the one pictured above.
