Toy buses, South Shields

Nice shiny toy buses for sale at the 27th. Annual Tyne Tees Run last Sunday which exhibited in the Bents Park, South Shields. I was struck by the size of the crowd bustling around the stall and had to investigate and find out what they were looking for, and it was buses, cars, lorries, from Corgi and Matchbox. Some of them looked just as old as the real ones parked out on the grass!

I got in nice and close overhead with the small lens to capture the colours and patterns in this shot, at 28mm it also helped maintain sharpness and detail.

Camera details: Pentax K100D, 28 mm lens, 1/350 second, f6.7, iso 200

  2. Packed in like sardines! Fun and clever photo! I had to look closely to see that they were actually toy buses! Amusant!

  3. A very unusual perspective to present the buses. But. “boys toys”?? Hey, little girls play, too!!

  4. Looked a bit too tightly packed, as there’s always a chance that the paint could chip & devalue it. These could be LLedo ones as they are relatively cheap. It’s always best to keep them in the box.
