Medieval Fair, day five

Even in the medieval days there would have been rich merchants and traders, and possibly even some bankers, in South Shields and Tyneside heading up the local economy, things change so slowly in some circles! A small percentage of the population would have controlled a large percentage of the wealth, and would have dressed to impress, just as this character has with embellishments of fur, fine feathers, and silver jewellery.

Just another personality found at the Medieval Fair held in Druitt’s Park and Bede’s World, Jarrow last Sunday.

Camera details: Pentax K100D, 28 mm lens, /125 second, f8, iso 200.
