Duck, Boldon Tilesheds, South Shields

Tilesheds, Boldon

This picture is cropped from a slightly larger image of the duck pond at Boldon Tilesheds on the outskirts of South Shields.

It was the patterns and colours which caught my eye caused by the undulating ripples on the surface of the water, reflecting the rushes and tall grasses on the far bank.

Camera details: Konica Minolta Dimage Z3, 235 mm lens, 1/200 second, f7.1, iso 100

  1. excellent capture. the texture, colors, and angle are perfect.

  2. Beautiful! The background looks like those marbled endpapers that you see in old books.
