Pancake Race, South Shields

Pancake Race

Every Shrove Tuesday we have a traditional Pancake Race in King Street, South Shields and yesterday was no exception, this is the starting four of the relay waiting for the gun. The four teams represented Asda in South Shields, Asda Walmart Supercentre in Boldon, Specsavers in South Shields, and The Shields Gazette.

The event raises money for the Tommy charity as well as providing great fun and laughs for the participants and the crowds of onlooking shoppers.

  1. A pancake race? Sounds crazy and fun, whatever it is they do with those pans. Love the red-wigged team!

Don’t forget to vote for the April theme! We get two choices this time, thanks to Elaine. Please help spread the word too.
