Jarrow Bridge

The restored Jarrow Bridge crosses the River Don near to it’s confluence with the River Tyne, next to the ancient ruins of the monastery where the Venerable Bede lived his life in the seventh century. This picture was taken from a spot adjacent to St. Paul’s Church in Jarrow, less than three miles from South Shields.
