HMS Ark Royal

A final look

This is how HMS Ark Royal looked after we disembarked last Saturday, the sun was gradually falling down behind the River Tyne, and the last of her visitors were boarding, it had been an interesting look around one of our best known aircraft carriers, and worth the cross river trip from South Shields.

I hope you have enjoyed joining me on this look around the ship with this short series of pictures.

  2. A well done, informative series, but I have a question. Is the Apache Longbow helicopter an American or British made machine? In America we abolished the Army Air Force back in 1949; it is now just the US Air Force. I was not aware that the UK had an Army air force.
