Tractors at Tyne Dock

Komatsu digging machines

This picture was taken at dusk, you can see that the sun is setting behind me and is reflected in these diggers.

They stand there like gigantic robots waiting for some body to flick a switch and make them think and move.

Shot was taken on the Jarrow Road, South Shields at the Port of Tyne’s Tyne Dock terminal. Komatsu build these machines locally and along with thousands of Nissan cars each week, they are exported to continental Europe.

Camera details: Konica Minolta Dimage Z3, 35mm lens, 1/160 second, f4.5, iso 100
