Mysterious mythical beast in South Shields park

A very strange beast sat on a Victorian styled plinth has arrived in the South Marine Park, South Shields. A hybrid of dragon, man and horse!

Created by an artist assisted by a collection of school pupils this “thing” sits in the trees protecting or guarding the newly recreated bandstand.

I can’t wait to see the reactions when our visitors arrive next spring and summer.

Camera details: Pentax K100D, 40mm lens, 1/60 second, f4, iso 200

  1. I like that. I could put that next to my TV to give people something to talk about… other than the rubbish that’s on the box!
