Port of Tyne

Two ships lined up on the River Tyne and loading cars at the Nissan motor terminal of the Port of Tyne, South Shields. Nissan’s huge manufacturing plant at Washington is only a few short miles away and thousands of cars every month are shipped from here to Rotterdam in the Netherlands for distribution throughout continental Europe.

Picture taken from the Jarrow bank of the River Don where it enters the Tyne.

  1. I must apologize for not getting by to leave comments more often. As someone said, work expands to fill the time available for it.

This is an awfully nice photo for composition, color and light. As a photographer, I love this time of year when Golden Hour lasts almost all day. It must be even better for you, since you are much farther north. You are certainly taking advantage of it.
