St. Mary's Island lighthouse

St. Mary’s Island lighthouse

This is the third time I’ve featured this lighthouse in this photoblog, situated just a few miles up the coast from South Shields, the causeway is normally flooded by the sea and the lighthouse is only accessable at low tide.

We can tell if we are in for a good bright clear day if we can see St. Mary’s Island from the Leas in South Shields.

Camera details: Pentax K100D, 28mm lens, 1/500 second, f11, iso 200
