River Wear, Sunderland
I was standing on a glass roof as I took this shot of the River Wear and the harbour at Sunderland. The National Glass Centre affords an excellent view towards the newer buildings surrounding the marina and the exit to the North Sea, although it can be disconcerting to look down through the floor and see people working eighty feet below your feet. The glass is probably about 12 inches thick and laminated, I guess they wouldn’t allow us to walk on it otherwise.
The frame for this away from South Shields post was made with Photoshop.
