Two ships off South Shields

….that pass in the night

A small boat checking lobster pots and a larger oil tanker leaving the River Tyne appear to pass each other off Sandhaven beach at South Shields. Although the shot was taken early morning a lot of Photoshop work has produced this night vision effect (it was better than wasting a fairly ordinary lifeless grey photo!)

  2. Looks great. Nothin’ wrong with Photoshoppin’ if you can produce an image like this.

That lobster boat looks like she has an anchor down… do they always drop anchor to check their pots? Seems like a lot of trouble, but I guess you guys have some killer tides up in there, which might account for it.

    Great seascape.

  3. Unusual treatment for a photo, but it works well. Babooska on the Isle of Man has some green water on her site today too.
