Monument Mall, Newcastle

Shopping in Newcastle

I took the Metro to Newcastle from South Shields a couple of days ago, it was an afternoon to relieve the boredom of watching rain rattling against the window panes! So I just took along a small digital camera and this is one of the shots I came back with.

The Monument Mall greets it’s visitors as soon as they disembark underground from the Metro train and it rises three stories above ground, this is the upward view from the foot of the escalators looking at the huge glass domed roof which brings light to the whole complex.

Camera details: Konica Minolta Dimage Z3, 35 mm lens, 1/90 second, f5.6, iso 100
