Westoe Glebe, South Shields

Floral pyramids

I’m feeling uninspired because of the dreary weather we are having this summer, there are too many dull, damp, and wet days in South Shields, so I’ve dug into the archives to bring this one out.

It’s an inspred way of growing plants to show them off to good effect.

For those ex-pats who left South Shields years ago, this is the current scene at Westoe Bridges, no more bridges, and no more Glebe Methodist Church, they’ve a;; been demolished. The church has been replaced with the smart new apartments at the rear where Imeary Street meets Westoe Road.

Camera details; Konica Minolta Dimage Z3, 35mm lens, 1/250 second, f5.6, iso 100

  1. Those are lovely. I’ve never seen a floral pyramid here in California, but I’m going to start watching for one.

  2. That is such a novel way of showing the flowers.

Congratulations on your 2 years, that is an awesome commitment. Your pics are always so good. Also, your postings have helped me so much, because of your camera details.
