The Groyne lighthouse, South Shields

Groyne Lighthouse

I’ve been playing around in Photoshop for some time trying to create the infra red affect for this view, coupled with a little monotone action, I think it works. It was originally shot late in the afternoon.

This is The Groyne lighthouse at Littlehaven Beach, South Shields marking the danger point where the River Tyne enters the harbour, rocks here have been responsible for many groundings before the river was able to have a properly maintained deep water channel.

Camera details; Pentax K100D, 28mm lens, 1/750 second, f6.7, iso 200
