End of term, South Shields

End of term

It was more than just the usual end of term for “Junior” and his mates yesterday, in fact for the entire year 6 (11 year olds) in South Shields it meant the end of life in primary school. After six weeks holiday they commence a new chapter in new schools, with new pals, new teachers, and new environments where they will need to grow up – fast!

So one of the parents decided to treat these young lads with a ride about town in a huge stretched limousine, the papparazi consisted mainly of friends and family thrusting cameras and camera phones in faces to create that “star treatment”.

Yes, it’s a far cry from my days at school.

Two layers in Photoshop, black and white on top of colour, I simply erased the black and white away to reveal the clour below.

Camera details; Konica Minolta Dimage Z3, 35mm lens, 1/40 second, f2.5, iso 50
