Lulu wows them in South Shields

Sixties singing sensation Lulu wowed the crowds at her free concert in the Bents Park, South Shields yesterday, the star who’s hit’s include Relight my Fire (with Take That), To Sir with Love, Independence, Boom Bang a Bang, and the Man Who Sold the World, in a long career, looked fabulous and was a huge success in South Shields.

The weather stayed kind throughout the concert which heralded the start of a month long series of free concerts promoted by South Tyneside Council as part of our Summer Festival, if you are in this part of the world during July you really ought to visit South Shields on a Sunday afternoon.

  2. I like your post today. “To Sir With Love” has always been one of my favorite songs, and I often taught the book when I taught high school English in Mississippi, then we’d watch the movie and get to not only hear her sing, but see her. Thanks for the memories.
