Uncomfortable seats

Seats at Roker, near South Shields

Perils of the seaside!

There are some days when it just is not appropriate to sit in the sunshine and watch the world go by as you listen to the gentle lapping of the waves. The North Sea has a habit of making an impromptu visit to visitors in these parts, so it’s fortunate that South Shields dispensed with it’s seats in the harbour many years ago.

These shoreline relaxation points are just a couple of miles down the coast at Roker, and are cropped from a larger image.
