Green for Gold

Trophy cabinet, Jack Clark Park, South Shields

Jack Clark Park, South Shields

There is a lot of green amongst the gold of the trophies here, it’s the reflection of the indoor bowling green at Jack Clark Park, South Shields. The bowling club is very lively with an active membership playing indoor carpet bowls and outdoor “crown green” bowls. Members play in local leagues and by the look of the cabinet they do it with some measure of success!

The Jack Clark Park is named after one of South Shields former borough councillors and is also the home to Marsden Cricket Club.

Another picture from the indoor bowling club tomorrow.
