Hailstones
A bad afternoon in the fairground
It’s quite incredible how resilient South Shields folks are!
Easter time is the time to go to the fairground and have some fun, it’s a family affair for many, and a few sharp showers of hailstones, sleet, or snow, isn’t going to stop us.
Lady with a head full of hailstones takes shelter next to the dodgems.
You need a slow shutter speed for shots like these, blue toning added in Photoshop after desaturating.

Beautiful photo. I’ll have to work on a slower shutter speed to capture the elements.

Great photo. And well done you for going out in that sort of weather! Here in Colchester I was toasty and warm indoors!

Wow. What a great photo! I can’t get over the action you’ve captured here, the movement, and in front of the bumper cars which are all about movement.
