Checking lobster pots, South Shields

Hiding from the tide

Why would you want to go down to the North Sea off Trow Rocks, South Shields when the weather is like this? The wind “blowing a gale” and a rolling surf and high tides crashing waves across the rocks. Well, if you had a few lobster pots tethered to long ropes anchored to the rocks, you’d want to periodically check them out, there might be a meal waiting for you!

  1. Lobster for dinner is indeed a splendid reason to put up with the elements! Buon appetite!

  2. Oh – I’d love to be there!
My favourite days on the beach are those wild and woolly ones!
