We all ate noodles

Yes, it was Chinese New Year so we all ate noodles! (As well as some delicious barbecued satay chicken followed by fortune cookies).

“Missy” and I found a spot against the ancient city walls in Newcastle near the bottom of Bath Lane and joined many others who had queued for some (rather cheap) delicacies. At times, I feel we need something like this in South Shields, we had a Multi Cultural Mela for a couple of years then it was dropped last year, but we do enjoy trying new culinary tastes.

  1. I love this picture! Especially how you colored the noodles and left everything else black and white! Fantastic!

  3. You were asking if we’d had much snow down here – well no – in early January we had a very light scattering but it was bright in the morning and I went out on a walk where I took a lot of photos around a stretch of the river and canal which I’ve been posting recently. Just over a week ago we had snow overnight and Saturday morning was treacherous but it all soon disappeared. It has gone very cold again now, but it is dry. The North-West generally seems to get away with it whilst you in the East get quite a bit.
