Enter the dragon

Chinese dragon, Newcastle

The dragon is enticed inside with a cabbage

This is another custom at Chinese New Year, as part of the “dragon dance” food is used to entice the lucky beast inside of the premises, another portent of good luck. South Shields Daily Photo had the good luck to be in the right place at the right time!

Stowell Street, Newcastle-upon-Tyne
