Stowell Street, Newcastle

Crowded Avenue

Here’s the second in the series of Chinese New Year pictures taken on Sunday during our day out away from South Shields. I hope this conveys the popularity of the celebrations as thousands of people from all over Tyneside descend upon Stowell Street in Newcastle, I hope too that it conveys the difficulties that I faced in being able to bring you a short series of pictures of the event. You might wonder, as we get through the week, just how “Missy” and I got through the crowds and stayed in one piece!

Remember you can click on all of my recent pictures to see an enlarged view.

Camera details; Pentax K100D, 28mm lens, 1/250 second, f11, iso 200
