March to the pub

Jarrow Crusaders pub

Jarrow Crusaders public house

Here’s another pub which reflects the history of the area, The Jarrow Crusaders is named after the famous march by unemployed workers in Jarrow in October 1936. The pub lies 3 miles from South Shields town centre and is about to profit from the building of many new homes around it (check the map link, the demolished area is now almost completely rebuilt with modern town houses.)
