Graham Sands, South Shields

Graham Sands, South Shields

I spent yesterday afternoon at a football game, so no new material for now. Consequently I thought you might enjoy some more views of Graham Sands which is a small rocky cove located behind Trow Rocks in South Shields. These particular large flat rock formations were very greasy, slippery, and covered in a very fine seaweed, so footing was a little precarious, to say the least. The shot was taken at around 2.00 p.m. in the afternoon with the sun behind me bringing out great textural detail.

Camera details: Pentax K100D, 28mm lens, 2 seconds, f22, circular polariser, 4 X ND filter, grad grey filter, Velbon tripod.

  2. Fantastic photo! I noticed you stacked 3 lenses on top of one another. 2 seconds at 2:00 pm? I imagin with all the ilters at a narrow f-stop you need more time exposer. Interesting concept to stack filters like this with superb results. Thanks, we all can learn from viewing your pics and with the added camera and filter information.
