sunset in South Shields

Sunset seen from South Shields

A view of the River Tyne’s industries taken at around 4.00 p.m. yesterday from South Shields. The cranes are probably the last remaining evidence of maritime industry in South Shields and they belong to Aker McNulty in Commercial Road, they power the movement of steel throughout the specialist shipyard. The electricity pylon supplying some of the energy to undertake these enterprises is on the north bank of the River Tyne near Percy Main in North Shields.

Camera details; Konica Minolta Dimage Z3, 420mm lens, 1/100 second, f4.5, iso 160

  3. You were lucky that there was no rain about yesterday. It absolutely belted it down nearly all day here, like in many other parts of the country. Good shot by the way.
