Working up laughs in the town centre

As part of the festive pre-Christmas mood, I found this clown entertaining passing children outside the museum in Ocean Road, South Shields.

I just had to do a double take!

  2. I like the boots. First I thought they were twins but then I found out, clever me, that the one on the right looked fishy.

  4. Wow! What a great photo.

I discovered your site a few days ago and it’s fast becoming a ‘must visit’ each time I turn the PC on.

I’m an Ex Pat Londoner living in Essex but my family are from the North East (Bedlington) although my ancestors were from South Shields, Sunderland and somewhere called Dinnington, and I used to spend all the school holidays ‘Up North’ when I was a kid. And now this site reminds me of my roots.

    Thank you.

    Thank you.
