Recycling Christmas trees

Shall we do Christmas all over again?

This is one of the entrances to the West Park in South Shields, now being used as a collection point for used Christmas trees, they will be recycled, possibly turned into wood chippings for use as a garden mulch. South Tyneside District Council have set up a number of collection points where trees can be taken to be safely recycled.

The picture sugests that the Scots Pine is still the regional favourite for use at Christmas!

  1. Poignant photo about Christmas being such a waste these days. All those trees, cards hopefully recycled and all that unwanted packaging from kids’ toys etc.
