South Tyneside Pipes and Drums

South Tyneside Pipes and Drums

The band of the South Tyneside Pipes and Drums leading a recent parade past South Shields Town Hall, their music from the highland pipes stirring the emotions as theyhelp us in another act of remembrance. One of the characteristics of the massed band of pipes is their ability to be heard some miles away as the sound carries on the wind, sometimes eerily.

  1. Nice work. There is a sense of movement almost coming out of the frame. Quite a lot of DOF for f5.6 and 82 mm focal length. It looks relatively warm there. The Gulf Stream hasn’t failed Britain yet.

  2. I so love the pipes! And the kilts aren’t bad either. My husband wore it proudly!
