Crazy sight at the crazy golf

You might be forgiven for thinking that Jack Sparrow and his Pirates of the Carribean had arrived in South Shields. Well, that’s not the case, this pirate is standing guard outside of the “crazy golf” at our funfair. The Ocean Beach Pleasure Park is a permanent all year structure and the crazy golf putting course was installed earlier this year, just for those who like to attempt putting on the rolling decks of a pirate ship! great fun.

The frame was processed in Photoshop using the Alien Skins Exposure plug-in to replicate Kodak’s Ektachrome 100 slide film.

  1. What vivid colors, Curly. It’s fitting considering the subject. Pirates led, at least some of the time, colorful lives, though I doubt they played too much golf.

  3. I think pirates must be popular as a means of leadingconsumers to something – even if they are not Johnny Depp! There’s one outside a sweet shop in the walking street of Menton. Amazing colours here.

  4. Great swashbuckler image here, Curly! Though like Jilly says, doesn’t resemble Johnny Depp.:)Those mini-golf courses can be fun, haven’t played golf in years.
