King Street, South Shields

Little girl in a hurry

This is a composite Photoshop image attempting to show how busy King Street in South Shields was this afternoon, with many people going to the Market Place. The camera was set on a tripod and 22 frames recorded, they were all set on separate layers in Photoshop. I then used a number of masks and played around with transparency and blend modes to get the final result. Took a long slow time over this one, not that the little girl was bothered, she was in a BIG hurry!

  1. Awesome. I love the things you can do in photoshop. They look like they could be ghosts!

  4. Interesting image. I have an old version of Photoshop & have never used it yet. I just tend to use Picasa to tidy up my photos.

  7. Great use of image composites. It does have a ghostly quality, but it successfully gives the feeling of a busy street, as you intended.

  10. Very very good. And thanks for the explanation of how the composite was created. Check out composite of 240 frames from 1473 time lapse shots.

  11. PS: the composite I mentioned was created and posted by Sam Javanrouh at his daily dose of imagery from Toronto photo blog.
