This is the final view of Cunard’s QE2 as she leaves the River Tyne sailing through the harbour in South Shields making her way towards South Queensferry in Edinburgh. This is the final picture in this short series on the QE2, it’s back to more mundane subjects tomorrow.

  2. Well done Curly! A fine record of the last days of a fine ship. Glad to see the Tyne still busy. (I’ve forgotten, but I suppose QEII was “Clyde Built”…..forgive me if I’ve upset Tyne-siders.

  3. This is beautiful. Catching that breaking wave really adds to the photo. It almost looks like a small waterfall.
