The QE2 sails into South Shields harbour

The end of the pier show

A fantastic daylight fireworks display greeted The Queen Elizabeth ll as she finally arrived in South Shields harbour at the fourth attempt. See this post in my main blog for the full story.

As I prepare this post the weather has turned sour it is now raining with a gusting wind, QE2 has not yet been turned to face the sea, so I wonder, will she set sail tonight or not?

  1. I don’t think I’ve ever seen something quite like that before. Nicely captured.

  2. Great photos of QEII. The fireworks and sunset are spectacular additions to the photo of the cruise liner!

  3. Well done. The fireworks, the beautiful sky, the ships, it all works together for one amazing photograph.
