Lost property sale

This is an auction of unclaimed lost property left on local Metro trains, the auctioneer is one of our former local councillors, and he is a very funny man! The auction took place in South Shields Market Place and the monies raised went to our Mayoress’ charity fund. You can read the full story – here.

  2. Nice photo. Especially nice in black and white. The expressions on some of the faces are priceless.

  3. How interesting! I also work for a charity and I think I may suggest we do something similar. The black & white worked really well. I wonder how it’ll look using sepia.

  4. Yes, this works so beautifully in black and white–makes it look timeless and also draws attention to the people’s facial expressions. This is wonderful!

(and in answer to your question on my blog yesterday: we do dream of the seaside, unfortunately one must travel long and hard just to get to either coast from our place in the US Midwest.)
