Trans Express at the Mouth of the Tyne Festival, South Shields 2007

Mouth of the Tyne Festival (again)

Here is another shot from the evening parade which was part of the Mouth of the Tyne Festival in South Shields, Saturday 14th. July. The French street theatrical group Trans Express created a colourful and musical spectacle that was difficult to better. Here their band play on top of a moving “contraption” which featured a glass tank full of water with a man swimming inside dressed as a fish! The parade was entitled “People of the Sea”

It’s back to more normal subjects tomorrow, I’m afraid.

  1. “People of the Sea”…oh so now I understand what that oyster costume was about! 😀

The parade must have been spectacular to see in person. It looks so colourful and vibrant.

  2. Nice photograph. I am suprised at the quality with an ISO of 200. I would have guessed you would have had to go higher than that. It turned out really nice.

  4. You have to hand it to the French – they excel in those kind of visual art performances!

  5. A very attractive shot, those multi-coloured people in the blue evening light.
