The Bootleg Beatles

The first free major concert of the summer for us in South Shields was in the Bents Park on Sunday 8th. July. The Bootleg Beatles are renowned as the best Beatles tribute band around in the UK and worldwide. They have made over 4000 performances over the last twenty years. I have portrayed “Paul” and “George” in this shot.

  1. nice. when i lived in nyc, there was a group of three bootleg beatles stationed at my subway stop. they were from Jamaica and even attempted the haircut.

  2. Your picture just exactly resemble with old poster I have in mind. I’ll take it for concert even for the bootleg beatles. I really like the picture.

  3. I thought for a second it WAs them. Super photo and so interesting. Not heard of this tribute band. So many Elvis impersonators of course.

  4. I’ve not seen them myself, but as you say, they are the best in the business, and the nearest anyone will get to ‘actually’ being there.

    I too had to do a double take on this one. That one with his back turned to the camera sure looks like Paul McCartney from this angle!

  6. in France we have Beattles tribute band too, they seem to have some success (I’d really like to see how is the jamaican tribute band !!).
