Readhead Park, South Shields

I am no botanical genius, my knowledge of fauna and flora is extremely poor, so I cannot tell you what type of thistle this might be, but I found it in the Readhead Park in South Shields, and I liked it’s form and it’s colour. The park was given to the town by Robert Readhead MP in 1921.

  1. An outstanding macro!I love the colour and the clarity is excellent, but I know even less than you about its identity. It may be that the staff at the Parks Department, if you send them a copy of this picture, might know.
