Helmets

with one comment

Arbeia Roman Fort, South Shields (4)

A couple of helmets and a shield discarded after the battle! (Don’t worry there wasn’t too much blood!)

Re-enactments are a great way for children to learn about the Roman occupation of South Shields all those years ago.

  1. Very good still life photo. Captures the moment very well. Never been to a re-enactment. They sometimes have them at Nottingham Castle. Must try to go one day.
