Water hydrant, South Marine Park, South Shields


I don’t know if this is a new feature or not. I might have walked past this hydrant many times and never noticed it, funny how you open your eyes wider when there is a camera around your neck!

The South Marine Park, South Shields is slowly being restored to it’s former Victorian glory, with the help of the Heritage Lottery Fund, and as you can see, the boating lake requires a lot of water!
