Field of rape, Whitburn, near South Shields

Under a heavy sky

A field of rape under a very heavy sky, shot from the edge of Cornthwaite Park in Whitburn, near South Shields. For the last couple of weeks the rest of the UK seems to have enjoyed nice warm sunshine, but the North-East has lain under a blanket of clouds. Oh well, I suppose the summer sunshine will eventually arrive here.

  1. Nice looking scene. The yellow is brilliant.

Our weather is screwed up where I live. No rain in May. Almost freezing cold the past two days but warming to over 90 tomorrow. THat’s nuts. I blame it on our president.

Thank you for visiting my blog.

  2. Nice contrast. Almost like painting. I like the effect and final result.
