Match Day anxieties (4)

Junior Curly 10th birthday

Ten

For this young man from South Shields, the big game held no anxieties at all, in fact it promised to be an exciting day for him. “Junior” was about to experience his first big pro football game “live”, but first there was the 10th. birthday party to see to, the presents to open, the ice cream to consume, the cake, the candles, and the big BLOW OUT!

The original frame was desaturated then an oval selection made, before some levels adjustments and contrast reduction, a little addition of some noise finished the job just nicely. (The flames were painted on to a separate layer)

He’s a cheeky boy!

  1. I am so envious of you talented bloggers who can manipulate material as you do. The portrait is wonderful, and thanks for the explanation–even if I do not understand it all.

  5. A nice job on the photograph. Happy Birthday.

  6. Like Kate commented … I don’t fully understand how you do it, even with your kind expert explanation but I don’t really need to fully understand it to fully enjoy … “the art work within the work of art.” … if Sunderland turn out anything as good as your photos they’re on a winner !!!
